If Alert Manager isn’t working as expected, don’t worry — most issues are caused by permissions, limits, or platform behaviour. Follow the steps below before opening a support ticket.

Alerts are not firing

If you’re not receiving alerts, check the following:
  • The bot has Send Messages and Embed Links permissions in the channel
  • The /add-* command was run in the correct channel
  • The tracked creator is public and eligible for alerts
  • Your server has not reached its tracking limit
Alerts are always sent to the channel where the tracking command was used.

I added a creator but nothing happened

This is expected behaviour until one of the following occurs:
  • The creator goes LIVE (Twitch, Kick, TikTok)
  • The creator uploads content (YouTube)
Alert Manager does not send test alerts when a creator is added.

Role mentions are missing

If role pings do not appear in alerts:
  • Ensure the role is marked as mentionable
  • OR ensure the bot has Mention Everyone permission
Alerts will still be posted even if the role mention fails.

Command does not appear in Discord

If a slash command is missing:
  • Make sure the bot is fully invited to the server
  • Check the bot has permission to read and send messages
  • Try refreshing Discord (Ctrl + R or restart the app)
If /help appears, the bot is responding correctly.

Platform‑specific issues

YouTube

  • Alerts fire only after videos go public
  • Shorts and Premieres are supported
  • YouTube processing delays may cause short delays

Twitch

  • Streams must be public
  • Title and category updates may change the embed
  • API delays can occur during peak times

Kick

  • Only live stream alerts are supported
  • Private streams cannot trigger alerts

TikTok

  • LIVE alerts only (uploads not supported)
  • TikTok rate limits may cause small delays

Tracking limit reached

If you cannot add more creators:
  • Run /limit to check current usage
  • Remove an existing tracker
  • Upgrade your plan or apply for a partner tier

Still need help?

If the issue isn’t resolved, open a support ticket and include:
  • Server ID
  • Channel name
  • Command used
  • Creator username or URL
This helps staff resolve issues faster.
Most issues can be resolved in seconds with the correct permissions or limits checked.
